Luxembourg Property Market Overview 2019

2019 closes record high figures

 

  • The last quarter of the year showed impressive transaction flow, bringing the year total volume to around 265,000 sq.m.
  • Vacancy was also at its lowest, dropping to 3.2% compared to 3.4% in the previous year
  • Prime rents 2% higher in 2020, at €51 / sq.m. / month (excl. V.A.T.),
  • Record transaction volume of 122,000 sq.m. was also registered by the Retail market at the end of year
  • Apartment prices have increased as well by about 18% for new apartments under construction and almost 11% for existing ones
  • Prime office yields remains at 4% so far, with compression potential to 3,5% in 2020.
